Does The IFTTT Strategy Still Work If The Posts Are Truncated?

In episode 204 of our weekly Hump Day Hangouts, one participant asked if the IFTTT strategy still works if the posts are truncated.

The exact question was:

Hey guys, when you are working with a client who doesn't use WordPress and I'm in the middle of setting up their IFTTT network.. Does it matter that the Weebly feed (which is the platform they used) truncates the post? In other words, it does not show the entire full post with the content and links like one would like when getting syndicated with IFTTT. Does the IFTTT strategy still work in this case truncated?
